This Privacy Notice explains how GThink Ltd ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through the electricalworks.uk website enquiry forms and related contact routes.

Information we collect

When you submit an enquiry form, we may collect:

• your name;
• your phone number;
• your email address if you choose to provide one;
• the service you are interested in;
• your message if you choose to provide one;
• the page you submitted the form from;
• technical anti-spam signals processed through Cloudflare Turnstile.

We do not use the enquiry checkbox as marketing consent. It confirms that you have read this Privacy Notice.

How we use your information

We use enquiry information to respond to your request, assess your project requirements, prepare quotations or technical advice, and communicate with you about the services you asked about.

Lawful bases may include steps taken at your request before entering a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing our enquiry process, and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.

Processors and service providers

• Vercel hosts the website and runs serverless functions that receive form submissions.
• Resend delivers transactional enquiry notification emails to our team.
• Cloudflare Turnstile helps protect forms against automated abuse.

These providers may process data in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, United States or other countries. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards provided by those suppliers and applicable law.

Retention

We retain enquiry information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, manage follow-up communications, maintain business records where required, and resolve disputes or legal claims. A formal retention schedule for electricalworks enquiries should be confirmed internally by GThink Ltd.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website loads third-party resources such as Font Awesome, ImageKit-hosted images, Calendly booking tools and Cloudflare Turnstile on form pages. Those services may set or read cookies or similar technologies in your browser according to their own policies.

Website statistics

GThink Ltd uses Vercel Web Analytics to produce aggregate statistics solely to improve this website, its content and navigation. For visits identified as coming from the UK, eligible statistics run without a consent popup. You can object at any time, free of charge, using Turn off website statistics in the footer. The website and its contact routes continue to work when statistics are off.

We measure visits to public pages. When extended statistics is enabled, we also count page visits with contact-link clicks, booking-link clicks, calculator-link clicks and successful website enquiries where a form is available. Extended statistics also counts visits reaching 50% or 90% scroll depth and 30 or 60 seconds of focused, visible reading. Each action type is counted at most once per page load. These are aggregate engagement indicators, not an exact average reading time. A booking-link click is not a confirmed booking, and a contact click is not an enquiry.

Our statistics code excludes form contents, names, email addresses, phone numbers, URL query strings and fragments. It does not send arbitrary event labels or record screens, keystrokes or individual browsing histories. Visits with detailed referring URLs are excluded. Vercel processes technical request information, such as browser/device type and approximate location, to provide aggregate reports. It uses a request-derived hash with a visitor session lifetime of up to 24 hours, rather than analytics cookies or a permanent visitor ID. We do not link visitors between our websites, use these statistics for advertising or share them with advertising partners.

We rely on the UK statistical-purposes exception for storage/access used solely to improve this website. Where personal data is involved, our basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the website, with limited collection and an immediate right to object. New collection stops when you turn statistics off. Previously aggregated statistics cannot be traced back to you through these reports.

Your on/off preference is stored in this browser on this website until you change it or clear browser storage. Previous refusals of our Google Analytics are respected. If browser storage cannot be used, statistics stay off. Our former Google Analytics tag is no longer loaded; accessible Google Analytics cookies are removed. Previously collected Google Analytics data is not deleted by this change.

Vercel provides hosting and processes statistics on our behalf. Its visitor session identifier is discarded after 24 hours; aggregate report availability depends on our Vercel plan, one month on Hobby and up to 12 months on the standard Pro plan. Processing may take place outside the UK under Vercel's applicable contractual transfer safeguards. See Vercel's analytics privacy information and Data Processing Addendum. Enquiry handling and external booking services are separate from this statistics feature.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal information, and to data portability where applicable. You may contact us at hello@electricalworks.uk to exercise these rights.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Notice when our website, processors or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised when that happens.
